IPES is available for people aged 18 plus, who have a disability and live in the South of England, including Somerset.

IPES believe everyone should have the same opportunity to access a job that is right for them no matter what their circumstances are. Get in touch if this is you and they will sit down and look at how they can support you – giving you a very personalised service based on your individual needs.

The government’s adviser for the natural environment in England. We help to protect and restore our natural world. Our purpose is to help conserve, enhance and manage the natural environment for the benefit of present and future generations, thereby contributing to sustainable development.

Lots of advice and information that would be helpful for farmers, agricultural workers and anyone working in the rural environment.

Somerset Libraries – borrow an iPad

Anyone who is a member of Somerset Libraries can borrow an iPad free of charge for a period of up to six weeks to help in searching for employment. Becoming a member of Somerset Libraries is free and easy to do. You can join online but in order to borrow an iPad you will need to become a full member which you can do by visiting your local library.

 

Step Up Somerset – employment & skills support

Whether you are searching for your next job opportunity, starting a new career, working on your employability skills or just beginning your journey in the world of work, Step Up Somerset provides information and support to help you.

The Step Up Somerset website provides information on skills development, training, job opportunities, redundancy support, support for businesses and career progression.

As part of the project, one to one support will be available in all four of Somerset’s district council areas, where people will be able to get help and advice on looking for a job, writing or updating their CV, interview preparation, apprenticeships, and skills training.
