Silvercise – Street
Silvercise is a fun and social fitness class combining toning, stretching, conditioning and dance. Classes are adapted to all abilities (including limited mobility).
This class is for over 60s and takes place at Crispin hall, Street on Mondays from 9.30am – 10.30am. No need to book, just come along.

Street Park Run
Street parkrun is a free timed 5k (about 3 mile) run, jog or walk that takes place at 9.00am every Saturday morning at Strode College sports fields. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or ability. To join in, register first online (see below for web address) and bring it along with you for 8.45am on Saturdays.

The Wednesday Club – Gardening and horticulture – Frome
The Wednesday club is a gardening/horticulture club on some land at Vallis Veg. Being with others, talking, gardening and having a cup of tea/coffee may help with alleviating loneliness, depression, anxiety and provide some gentle exercise. The space in which we work has amazing views, is away from traffic noises (but still quite close to town) and is calm and friendly. We can offer tea/coffee, support, all the tools & seeds necessary and a share in the produce. Open to anyone who would like to join this friendly supportive group. Shepton Mallet and Southwick Park Run
Shepton Mallet parkrun is a 5km run every Saturday at 9am. We all run for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace! We’re friendly! Every week we grab a post parkrun coffee in the Collett Park Café – please come and join us! The event takes place at Collett Park, Shepton Mallet, BA4 5PJ. Free but please register before your first run. Only ever register with parkrun once. Don’t forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won’t get a time. Please be aware that dogs are not allowed at this event.
Southwick County parkrun is a 5km run every Saturday at 9am. We all run for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace! We’re friendly! Every week we grab a post parkrun coffee in the Squirrel’s Tearoom Cafe – please come and join us! The event takes place at Southwick Country Park, Frome Road, Southwick, Nr Trowbridge, Wiltshire BA14 9QD.
Runners wishing to run with a dog are welcome, but please keep the dog on a short lead or harness and under control throughout the event. Bike To Health for Frome.
Cycling can help improve people’s health and wellbeing but many people are put off using a bicycle in Frome because of the hills. So Frome now has available a couple of electric power assist bicycles (ebikes) that helps to reduce the strain of cycling up hills and makes cycling more fun. This is an online platform where you can find out about local cycling projects, track your cycling, set goals and find out about local rides.
Love to Ride has been designed with behavior change principles, techniques and tools at its core. This is to ensure that our approaches are as effective as possible at encouraging cycling. “We get more people cycling using our online platform, local promotion and good ol’ human interaction.”

Harry’s Hydro is a hydrotherapy pool based in Frome. They have sessions for individuals to book on Fridays. Cost per session is £7 for an initial session then £70 for ten sessions to be paid in advance if wishing to continue. If you would like to use the hydrotherapy pool, please contact: Helen Woodhead.
As an individual you may be able to access a group session, hire the pool exclusively for yourself and your carers or if you represent a group you may be able to access the pool too.
