Stroke Association ‘Here For You’ Telephone support service

If someone has had a stroke, a weekly phone conversation with one of the organisation’s trained volunteers can help them rebuild their life after stroke. Talking things through over the phone can boost confidence, helping the individual feel more connected, supported, and ready to take the next step in their recovery.

For eight weeks, a volunteer will call and chat for around 30 minutes. If the person has limited English, volunteers may be available who can offer support in other languages – just let the team know. A short online form is available to complete using the link below.
