As well as working one-to-one with people, Health Connections Mendip also runs Self Management Programmes, On Track Goal Setting Groups, Talking Cafes, Healthy Lifestyle Programme and more.

Health Connections Mendip Talking Cafes (in person)

Talking cafes are a place to meet new people, make friends and chat to a community signposter about activities, support groups and services in your community.

Wells: Thursday 10am-12pm, Bishop’s Palace, Wells BA5 2PD

Health Connections Mendip started the first UK Talking Cafe in 2013. We have weekly Talking Cafes across Mendip. Many others are popping up across the county. If you would like to set up a Talking Cafe in your area, please contact us.

Are you living with a long term health condition? Would you like to……

Become more confident in managing your condition, learn about ways to help cope, meet other people living with similar conditions and make new friends, manage stress and fatigue, try out new things and have fun and get support?

Come and join this friendly, supportive programme of free workshops on living with long term health conditions.

Programmes run across Mendip. Contact us to see when a programme is in your area and to book a free place. This is a six session programme run over 12 weeks.

Health Connections Mendip On Track Groups

*Due to the Covid pandemic some of these groups are currently not running as usual*

Come along to these friendly peer led groups where you can join people who are setting goals which might improve their health and wellbeing. Get support and support others, get on track and have a chat over a cup of tea. The On Track groups normally meet every two weeks; please contact us on 01373 468368 to find out specific dates.

Frome – On Track. Every other Tuesday, Outside in the Orchard at Frome Medical Practice, Enos Way, BA11 1FH 10 – 11.15am. Covid and Weather dependent, Please call 01373 468368 to check if its going ahead.

Shepton Mallet – On Track every other Monday, The Bistro, 64 High Street, Shepton Mallet, BA4 5AX 10.30am – 12 noon . Not running.

Street – On Track every other Friday, The Street Food Cafe, Crispin Hall, High Street, Street, 3.00pm – 4.15pm. Not running.
