Do you want to find groups and support in the community that might help you improve your health and wellbeing? You can find lots of local support from charities to social groups in the Health Connections Mendip Directory.
Health Connections Mendip run a monthly Digital Connector training session that aims to reduce digital exclusion by helping others get online. It is aimed at people who have some digital skills who would like to share their knowledge with friends, family, colleagues and neighbours.
By training to become a Digital Connector you’ll be able to help your community by passing on top tips, ‘how to’ guides and useful resources to help people access and get the most out of being online. There are many people who might want to get online but don’t know how to. They might want to speak to friends online but need help navigating Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp and Facebook. Some people might want to order repeat prescriptions online or join online support groups or apps that might improve health and wellbeing.
The course is free of charge and last about 40 Minutes. Due to the current Covid restrictions the session takes place online using Zoom.
Our Let’s Connect work is all about the power of communities to support each other by passing on information to friends, family and neighbours and with simple projects that anyone and everyone can get involved with.
All these courses can be attended for free via Eventbrite and run on a monthly basis. You can join us on one of the Zoom sessions listed on the website or arrange a small in-person training session (following Government CV-19 guidelines). Please contact us to discuss if you want a session just for your organisation or group.
