Let's Connect

Community Connectors

Community Connector training is our original training session designed to help everyone in Mendip be better equipped to signpost and support others in the community.

If you live in Mendip, you can book on to the next training via Eventbrite or call the Health Connections team if you prefer to book by phone.

The more people there are out there that know what support is available, the more we can help each other as a community.  Community Connectors are members of the community who signpost and inform friends, family, colleagues and neighbours about how to access support groups, services and information that might help improve their health and wellbeing.  To date we have trained 1,800+ people.

  • One hour training
  • Anyone and everyone can be a Connector
  • Not a volunteer but active citizen
  • Police, taxi drivers, hairdressers, students, doctors, café staff, supermarket staff, parents, grandparents, homeless people, job centre staff ………

“Having the extra knowledge when talking with people who need help and support will be so valuable.”
Police Community Support Officer.

“This had been a very informative and helpful workshop.  I never knew there was so much support out there!” Community member.

What is Let’s Connect?

Our Let’s Connect work is all about the power of communities to support each other by passing on information to friends, family and neighbour’s and with simple projects that anyone and everyone can get involved with.

All these courses can be attended for FREE via Eventbrite and run on a monthly basis.  You can join us on one of the Zoom sessions listed on the website or arrange a small in-person training session (following Government CV-19 guidelines).  Please contact us to discuss further or if you want to book a session for you, your organisation or group.
