Groups

As well as working one-to-one with people, Health Connections Mendip also runs Self Management Programmes, On Track Goal Setting Groups and Talking Cafes.

If you don’t find something for you here try our Health Connections Mendip Directory for lists of support covering over 50 categories! If you have an idea for a new group, get in touch as we have helped people set up scores of groups, which can be found on the Directory.

 

Talking Cafes

Meet new people, make friends and chat to a community signposter about activities, support groups and services in your community. Just pop along to find out more.

Frome Talking Café

Cheese and Grain, Market Yard, Frome, every Monday term time 10 am to 12 noon

Glastonbury Talking Café

Tor Leisure, Street Road, Glastonbury, every Tuesday term time 10 am to 12 noon

Street Talking Cafe

The  Crispin Community Centre, High Street, Street, last Wednesday of the month 11 am-12 pm

Shepton Mallet Talking Café

Pepper’s, High Street, Shepton Mallet, every Tuesday and Thursday  10 am to 12 noon

Wells Talking Café

Pickwicks Country Kitchen, Broad Street, Wells, on alternate Thursdays term time 10 am to 12 noon.

Self Management Programme

Are you living with a long term health condition? Would you like to……

Become more confident in managing your condition, learn about ways to help cope, meet other people living with similar conditions and make new friends, manage stress and fatigue, try out new things and have fun and get support?

Come and join this friendly, supportive programme of free workshops on living with long term health conditions.

Programmes run across Mendip. Contact us to see when a programme is in your area and to book a free place. This is a six session programme run over 12 weeks.

On Track Groups

Come along to these friendly peer led groups where you can join people who are setting goals which might improve their health and wellbeing. Get support and support others, get on track and have a chat over a cup of tea.

Frome

On Track Every other Tuesday (contact for dates) Frome Medical Practice, Enos Way, BA11 1FH 10 -11am.

Shepton Mallet

On Track every other Monday, The Bistro, 64 High Street, Shepton Mallet, BA4 5AX 10.30am – 12 noon.
