Do you want to find groups and support in the community that might help you improve your health and wellbeing? You can find lots of local support from charities to social groups in the Health Connections Mendip Directory.
The Street Drop-In is held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 10am to 1pm.
The group is for people living with HIV or people closely affected by HIV who are based in Somerset, offering:
• Peer support: a place to meet others in a confidential setting. The Eddystone Trust provides biscuits and hot drinks. Please bring food to share with the group.
• Workshops and talks
• Access to the Somerset Community HIV worker for information and advice (Anne Parker)
To protect the confidentiality of both yourself and other group members, please do not disclose details of the venue, those who attend the group or why the group meets.

Guidance and Practical Support on how to access clinical sexual health services. Help to access other services in your area, Free HIV & Sexual Health workshops and talks to local Groups
If you need help concerning HIV or other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) but you’re not sure where to turn, this is for you. You may want to get tested for HIV, for example. You may have been recently diagnosed with HIV and want to understand how it may affect your life. Maybe you would like to meet other people in the same position, or you feel you would benefit from counselling. Or perhaps you have questions about sexuality or you are concerned that your HIV may affect your immigration status.
SWISH services are designed especially for young people, including under 16’s, in Somerset. Visit our website for information about many aspects of sexual health including contraception, unplanned pregnancy and treatment for sexually transmitted infections. SWISH Strode College –Near the refectory in the first aid room on Mondays 12.30 – 2pm This clinic is run by a SWISH Services Nurse or Doctor. Students only in term time.
